Huge Slayer Guide (sort of work in progress)
« on: January 24, 2012, 12:52:20 am »
Im guessing you want to start on Slayer, and either dont know how to do it, or want to brush up on your skills amiright?

Well this guide will give you a compiled list of monsters you can get as slayer tasks, what "elite" slayer tasks are, what you should take with you, and MOAR.

First off what youll need is a task. Talk to this nub and ask for a task:

Slayer 1

After you get a task, look further down in this post for the location of the monster  and some nice goodies it can drop if you dont already know. Now, the next part is crucial. If it is a boss monster (Elite task), youll have to gear up in range gear since its a lot stronger (rune C bow and Dragon Bolts (e) can be interchangeable with a Crystal Bow which hits less but is more accurate and faster I believe). I can hit 1ks with D bolts potted and prayer:

If its just a regular old task, gear up in melee since its faster to just one hit the low level monsters:

After your geared and know where to go, look below for some tips on slayer monsters.

Slayer Tasks

Easy Tasks

Al-Kharid Warriors:

These guys are so easy. Its a very fast task, and they drop charms often. Just go to one of the sides and swing away. Al-Kharid Glory tele

Rock Crabs:

Yes yes, you remember these little guys. They are easy, but have a little bit of health. Just take em out. Drop charms frequently. Rock Crab Tele

Ghosts:

Near the Giant Bats. At maxed melee and potted you can one hit em fairly easy. Taverly Dungeon

Giant Bats:

Near the Ghosts. You can almost on hit them, but not quite. Taverly Dungeon

Chaos Dwarves:

These guys are easy, but drop useless stuff. Just get the task over with. Taverly Dungeon

Medium Tasks

Gargoyles:

Pretty easy. Might take you a little bit. Shouldnt get them too frequently once you can actually fight em. Drop Granite Maul. Slayer Tower

Bloodvelds:

Easy task. Drop pretty good charms. Might take you a bit. I only got em a few times. Slayer Tower

Dust Devils:

Also easy. Drops Dragon Chainbody. Doesnt take too long. Slayer Tower

Abyssal Demons:

Easy. They take a little bit though. Lots of HP and Defence. Drops Whips. Slayer Tower

Dark Beasts:

Never gotten them, but I suppose they are easy. Drops Dark Beasts. Dark Beasts tele

Blue Dragons:

Eassyyy. Dragon bones, yum. Taverly Dungeons

Black Demons:

Kinda easy. Drops quite a few charms. You can find em in Taverly Dungeon, just past the Blue Dragons.

Elite Tasks

Before you read any further, let me explain what Elite Tasks are. These are tasks that you will usually start getting at around Level 70 Slayer. What these are is basically boss monsters, and other hard to kill monsters like Frost Dragons and Strykeworms. I believe these give a LOT more XP. But it comes in the form as when you finish the task. They are all challenges, and keep you on your toes.

Strykeworms (Ice, Jungle, and Desert):

Located in the Strykeworm teleport.  Once you tele youll find yourself in a cave. They are relatively easy, but they do pose a problem. Ice Strykeworms are a tad difficult, cause they can hit through prayer. Jungle can drain your prayer. Im not too sure about Desert, so more on them later. You need 90 Agility and Hunter to get to them.

Frost Dragons:

Before we go any further, you need 95 Slayer and 85 Mining to get to them. If you want a detailed... guide on em, heres my Frost Dragon guide: http://www.angelscape.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=874.0. These are easiest to range. Unless you have epic armor and a Prom Longsword. Located in the white portal just north of Edgeville bank. Have fun :D

Nomad:

You will probably get him frequently. Hes pretty easy, just gotta watch your health. I ranged him. He has some pretty good drops, he drops Super Prayers and Special Restores every drops. Also can drop Soul Wars capes.

Ima finish up the rest after my nap. Ill be adding screen shots and more depth. kthnxbai
