Hello everyone, I thought i'd make this post to just take a little time to share with you how I feel about AngelScape, where it started, and where we are now.

For those of you who don't know, AngelScape was first put online on the 1st January 2011, this is actually the day after I came back off holiday, and since then I had been coding the 317 to make it better, but most importantly, to make the place a more fun place to be.

The reason I started the server is because Angel (Christine) AKA. The Co-Owner, told me that she had played a few private servers in the past, which was a shock to me, this is also one of the reasons why I have been so determined to keep the server running, i will explain some difficulties we've had now...

First and foremost is the obvious fact of dupers (spawners) who used their magical cheat clients to spawn items within the game, and cause havoc and ruined the "economy" if we ever had one. But I faced problems that most of you guys and girls probably didn't know, for example I was DdoS'ed through the server multiple times.. Now prepare for a lesson on what DdoS'ing is, for people who already know you can refresh yourselves...

DdoS'ing, put in the most simplest way is basically getting sent loads of thingies (I have no idea what the thingies are, if someone knows then tell me) and these "thingies" make your internet cut off for set periods of time, ofcourse this is illegal and was very annoying for me, but I didn't give up on the server, no matter how stressful it got.

As you now know the source has had to be changed for the better, this prevents spawners and created a more fun server to be on, I would like to let you know I did my best to try and save the old source, but to no prevail, most of the time I do work behind the scenes to fix the server without some of you even knowing.

Now alot of you get annoyed when I ignore you in-game or don't answer you, I want you to understand that most of the time i'm not up for answering everyones request, and just want to come on and chat, I like to see myself as a normal player who you can talk to, not someone who has to devote all their time to the server, hopefully you can understand.

Recently I have noticed that the server has become more of a sort of hmm, how can I put it, more of a group of friends rather than just your ordinary server, since everyone knows one another, you've always got someone to talk to, and believe me, I like to talk to you guys -shock?- .

Finally I would like to thank a few people...

Seed for his great work on the forum and keeping it tidy, it's one less problem for me and helps me out alot, well done -Waters Seed-.

Lara for helping giving very helpful replies on the forum, and by being a very friendly person on the server.

Jalbno16 for helping Seed and by posting 24/7.

Laura for being a great admin, always being positive and helpful, and giving me alot of great advice concerning updates for the server.

Everyone for helping AngelScape being where it is today, I hope you enjoy the server, I wish I could right you all a personal thanks, your all amazing.

im so very glad youve recognised that i really am trying to help this server. the thing is , about 2-3 weeks ago , when it was rare that you had time to go on the server , i spent alot of time just trying to a have a plain old conversation with you you just told me " i know who you are jal , your the guy that when i come on the forums , i just wanna reset your post count and ban you" now that..... that kinda hurt . dont worry i got over it  because AS is something that i love , and im just thankfull that youve noticed that im trying to help the server.

Thank you, Ags ^_^. I know sometimes I may be rash and.. Ah, "rage" as some put it, though it is only what I think is best for the server and/or forums.. And I know I cant be on the new source yet, im trying to wait and see if I can get my uncles computer to use.. If not, ill just get a new one. So for now, all I can do is monitor the forums. (I like how I was first on the list.. XD).

I would also like to thank you Ags, and Angel <3. First for hosting this amazing server, which without I would not have met so many awesome people, like you and Angel, Jailbait, the La(u)ra twins, and many, many others (Also comprising of many of my haters ;P) .

unfortunately, like seed , i cant go on the new serv for about a week so all i can do is moderate the forums . oncei get the chance to download the new server  , ill do as much as i can to help you guys ingame also.

im playing angelscape for like 5months now i guess, this rsps is the longest one so far. those other clients i played were like 1,2 weeks max and i quit, and this one is just gettin better and better. great players to talk with.
im just saying keep up doing this awesome job jack, thanks.

Agreed, Thankyou so much Jack for giving up so much of your time to make Angelscape way better. And the new source is jizz because there's so much stuff to do on it, but i was wondering is there ANY way you can host both server's? So like you can have the 317 Server up and the 613? This would be so amazing and by far top the cake! O.o

It would be quite "epic" but wouldnt this cause alot of lagg? either on the servers or for jack in general?

Not entirely. The RSPS I used to play along with this actually had 7 worlds. (Like Runescape). It had World 1, World 2, World 3, Classic 1, Classic 2, Classic 3 and Small Beta.

Of course, it would mean 2 different clients since they'll both be based on different sources, different custom items, different base and all.

But, that server had people donating money like crazy. And it had 3000+ people on nearly all the time...
