Veteran + Eco Reset!

Since there hasn't been a post about this yet, I thought I may as well introduce the topic!

As, i'm sure a lot of you know, AGS has released a new rank called Veteran

What is Veteran?

Veteran is, from what i've gathered so far, VIP but with extra benefits, for example;

After the Eco reset, 6 'veteran' players were chosen to test the new rank, as well as being given a Party-hat of their choice (One complete set has been released). We were also given a 'head start' on the other players by being given 5 items of our choice.

We also have access to ::yell and once it's been fixed, I'm guessing we'll have access to the VIP Island and VIP shop.

Although it sounds all fun and games, I don't think that there will be any more promotions to the Veteran rank. But that shouldn't discourage older players to continue playing.

Also; Another thing that has happened recently; the 'Eco Reset'.

As a lot of you know, Angelscape has been flooded with spawners and 'dupers' leaving PK and the Economy virtually useless. This has now lead to the drastic measure of resetting every players bank; including Admins, Mods, VIP's and Veterans. This should lead to the game gaining a substantial economy with item's being sold and bought at reasonable prices, instead of people just guessing, or using a stupid amount of items to buy something small.

Angelscape may have lost a few members due to this happening, but to all of the players that have decided to stay, I personally thank-you. Eventually you will get some of your items back, but it will leave the server in a better state then what it was in before.

PKing will come back into fashion, instead of being dominated by players using the 1 hit ring, and items will begin to circulate throughout the economy.

Once again; Thank-you to all the players who have decided to stay with us, we'll come back, just you wait.

Also: If you see anyone with items that you don't think they should have (Mainly rares like Santa hat and H'ween masks) please take a screen shot and post it on the forums or some how show a member of staff. We all need to chip in if we want to prevent this from happening again.

Mm not bad, and why doesnt Ags ever tell me about anything new..*sigh*. Anyway, to also clarify anyone having any..doubts about the veterans, no, they dont have special priveleges, and if they do step out of line, be sure that ill be the first to ban them. Just because a player has been around for awhile DOES NOT mean that I will hesitate to punish them if they do wrong, just as if I was to do it to you.

Also, I shall begin creating a new price guide from scratch, as well as a few other guides hopefully after my exams are over, so look forward to it!

How do you earn viteran? me too iv'e been playing since release.

I think its alittle unfair that vets get 5 items of thier choice. I dont mind the phat becuase they earned it and its a good way to put out some rares ingame, but 5 items is alittle unfair because other players have to start from scratch and rebuild there bank fully, whiles these players kinda get some of thier items handed back. Well ive only played this server for 2 days so it doesnt realy apply to me, however there are other players out there that dont want to start over with nothing but thier skills. + Im sure there are alot of ther Vets that didnt get the position (As you can see "Sm4sh") And as stated by Lara "I don't think that there will be any more promotions to the Veteran rank" Im pretty sure that they wont be getting the rank . They will be pissed. Just sayin.

Yeah it is pretty unfair, because i was one of the richest people on AS ( and all my item's were legit) then i got re set. So like i think i'm done with this server now, because all my legit item's got re set and iv'e been waiting for V.I.P for like 4 weeks now? I totally agree with this post Wolfy. But also it would he helpful if one of the admins ( Seed ) write up a new price guide since the pirces have changed since v3

To be honest, it all came down to who has done what and who was on at what time. I know that there was a large give-a-way good bag event when AGS got on after the Eco reset, which was when players were given Veteran.

Veteran is, in my opinion, still being tested, there's still a few bugs with it and it's in the process of being coded. I suggest just wait and see, you may end up getting Veteran in the end.

tbh , ags really just gave it to the people he knew , not there actions and what theyve done.

i wasnt dicouraged by not being veteran , because i dont really care if i have it or not , what discouraged me is that AGS has told me that he has never noticed me doing any good around AS through my 3 months+ of layalty and only recognises me as the guy he wants to have his post ocunt reset , now THAT dicsourages me.

im glad you care seed , it really means alot , because of the way ags talked to me the other day , pretty much saying that ive done nothing for the server , all his fanboys are beginning to say the same things .
