Photoshop CS5 "Light Streak" Effect
« on: January 29, 2011, 11:11:02 pm »
Hello, and in the tutorial i'm going to be showing you how to create an effect in Photoshop CS5, which i'm going to call "Light Streak" :D.

Step 1:
Create a New layer in Photoshop, Then click "Paths", Then "Create new path"

Step 2:
Click the pen tool, and draw whatever you like, you can also use ruler's, pre-saved symbols etc...

Step 3:
Now open the brush tool window and select the same brush as in the image (Note: If you cannot select any of the brushes press "o" on your keyboard.

Step 4:
Now select a colour from the colour tab, then right click the Path you created, it should be called "Path 1" just like it is in the picture below. Once you've right clicked it, select "Stroke Path".
Make sure the window that opens is on "Brush" and the "Simulate Pressure" box is ticked.

Step 5:
Now delete the Path, head back over to your layer tab and your effect should be there, just edit it in blending options to your liking!
And there you have it, and simple but effective effect!
