Fair* XD. But yes... People will complain about anything. And I doubt many of the players will actually see this.. So it wont do much. I didnt think people would actually jump the gun and call it DDOSing though... Oh well. AGS, why dont you get a VPS? Pretty sure you can find a cheap one that would hold up on the current amount of players going online, and if you instead stop focusing on RSGP donations and say $5-$10 donations should be able to cover the cost of one. Im sure many would gladly donate a few bucks to help keep the server online more. And as I said, theres not really many people coming online at once anyway, so a cheap/decent priced one would do fine. Oh well, to each their own. Just kinda mad that everytime I wanna go on or have time to go on its down XD

Guides / Huge Slayer Guide (sort of work in progress)
« on: January 24, 2012, 12:52:20 am »
Im guessing you want to start on Slayer, and either dont know how to do it, or want to brush up on your skills amiright?

Well this guide will give you a compiled list of monsters you can get as slayer tasks, what "elite" slayer tasks are, what you should take with you, and MOAR.

First off what youll need is a task. Talk to this nub and ask for a task:

Slayer 1

After you get a task, look further down in this post for the location of the monster  and some nice goodies it can drop if you dont already know. Now, the next part is crucial. If it is a boss monster (Elite task), youll have to gear up in range gear since its a lot stronger (rune C bow and Dragon Bolts (e) can be interchangeable with a Crystal Bow which hits less but is more accurate and faster I believe). I can hit 1ks with D bolts potted and prayer:

If its just a regular old task, gear up in melee since its faster to just one hit the low level monsters:

After your geared and know where to go, look below for some tips on slayer monsters.

Slayer Tasks

Easy Tasks

Al-Kharid Warriors:

These guys are so easy. Its a very fast task, and they drop charms often. Just go to one of the sides and swing away. Al-Kharid Glory tele

Rock Crabs:

Yes yes, you remember these little guys. They are easy, but have a little bit of health. Just take em out. Drop charms frequently. Rock Crab Tele

Ghosts:

Near the Giant Bats. At maxed melee and potted you can one hit em fairly easy. Taverly Dungeon

Giant Bats:

Near the Ghosts. You can almost on hit them, but not quite. Taverly Dungeon

Chaos Dwarves:

These guys are easy, but drop useless stuff. Just get the task over with. Taverly Dungeon

Medium Tasks

Gargoyles:

Pretty easy. Might take you a little bit. Shouldnt get them too frequently once you can actually fight em. Drop Granite Maul. Slayer Tower

Bloodvelds:

Easy task. Drop pretty good charms. Might take you a bit. I only got em a few times. Slayer Tower

Dust Devils:

Also easy. Drops Dragon Chainbody. Doesnt take too long. Slayer Tower

Abyssal Demons:

Easy. They take a little bit though. Lots of HP and Defence. Drops Whips. Slayer Tower

Dark Beasts:

Never gotten them, but I suppose they are easy. Drops Dark Beasts. Dark Beasts tele

Blue Dragons:

Eassyyy. Dragon bones, yum. Taverly Dungeons

Black Demons:

Kinda easy. Drops quite a few charms. You can find em in Taverly Dungeon, just past the Blue Dragons.

Elite Tasks

Before you read any further, let me explain what Elite Tasks are. These are tasks that you will usually start getting at around Level 70 Slayer. What these are is basically boss monsters, and other hard to kill monsters like Frost Dragons and Strykeworms. I believe these give a LOT more XP. But it comes in the form as when you finish the task. They are all challenges, and keep you on your toes.

Strykeworms (Ice, Jungle, and Desert):

Located in the Strykeworm teleport.  Once you tele youll find yourself in a cave. They are relatively easy, but they do pose a problem. Ice Strykeworms are a tad difficult, cause they can hit through prayer. Jungle can drain your prayer. Im not too sure about Desert, so more on them later. You need 90 Agility and Hunter to get to them.

Frost Dragons:

Before we go any further, you need 95 Slayer and 85 Mining to get to them. If you want a detailed... guide on em, heres my Frost Dragon guide: http://www.angelscape.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=874.0. These are easiest to range. Unless you have epic armor and a Prom Longsword. Located in the white portal just north of Edgeville bank. Have fun :D

Nomad:

You will probably get him frequently. Hes pretty easy, just gotta watch your health. I ranged him. He has some pretty good drops, he drops Super Prayers and Special Restores every drops. Also can drop Soul Wars capes.

Ima finish up the rest after my nap. Ill be adding screen shots and more depth. kthnxbai

I bet by the time you hit 95 Slayer youll be so pro anyway, but this is for the nubs.

Note: Ill be uploading pictures as soon as AngelScape gets back up.

Frost Dragons, why would you want to fight em? For one, they are very easy with the right equipment, and only take around thirty seconds to kill. For another: Frost Dragon bones. These are highly coveted, due to the fact that they give tons of Prayer experience. Frost Dragons also drop Ancient Staffs, which are pretty good. Two more very good drops are Draconic Visages, which you can attach to Anti Dragonfire shields to make Dragon Fire shields, which have a lot of good defence, and it also drops Saradomin Swords, which arent too bad one handed weapons.

The Frost Dragons can hit hard, and will if you arent smart. I prefer to use Range to Melee, cause with Dragon Bolts (e), 99 Range, Eagle Eye prayer, and potted with range potions, I can easily hit 500s, moderately hit 700s, and ive even hit a 1200 on a Frostie once!

The requirement for getting to Frost Dragons is 85 Mining and 92 Slayer. Note: At this time you need 95 Slayer to even land a blow on them. You will find the portal to the north of Edgeville bank, its the white one, to the right of the chest.

IMG]http://i44.tinypic.com/20g0j93.png[/img]

Once you are in, you will be in a sort of ice cave, with three Frosties. One directly in front of you, one to the left of you, and one to the far north of you. I suggest you take on the two closest to you.

Heres my Range setup and inventory:

Once you are in, turn on protect/Deflect from Magic and then turn on Eagle Eye if you have normal prayers on. Then just attack the Frost Dragon. Its not too hard. Once its dead, pick up the bones and anything else you want, then attack another one. And then SHAZAM! Good luck on your drops XD.

Note: I will be updating this guide with a Melee version and pictures. so dont Worry... Sorry this guide isnt the best, its been awhile since I made a guide... And the subject of Frosties doesnt have much variation or depth in it XD

Guides / Guide Requesting
« on: January 21, 2012, 09:59:39 pm »
Basically this is a thread about asking for certain guides. After perusing the forums I only see a handful of guides from this client. So, basically post here what kind of guides you want, and I or someone else will comply. Do not fret, once I get the feeling of this server I shall start writing guides. If somehow Jack can promote me to Admin of the forums once more, I can start clearing out the old guides that are near useless as of now (Though ill be sure to save em just in case XD)

Some guides are still.. Kinda useful.

Like my taking screenshots and uploading em guide: http://www.angelscape.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=216.0

Or the requirements for posting a guide by Jack: http://www.angelscape.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=171.0

And uh.. Kinda relevant my Pokemon guide XD: http://www.angelscape.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=735.0

Anyway, heres a list of requested guides so guide makers know what to make:

KQ sucks. especially since we have Corp and whatnot. KQ was horrible in the old client, and I doubt Jack would spend much time on it. As for a Summoning guide, Jack doesnt make those, players do. You might do well in asking some veteran guide makers to make you a substantial one, or some random person/staff to give you the rundown. Once I get into Summoning I have no doubts ill make one, but as of yet I havent even touched the skill.

Obby maul is extremely slow, and isnt really useful. So no comment.

The shield thing DOES need to be fixed, but not an important issue as of now.

Hand cannon.. Only use I can see is for PKing, and.. Well no one ranges in PvP that I know of XD.

Onyx bolts aggreed. Only (e) though, and they have to work, and be extremely expensive XD.

Ghost armor.. No comment

Ancient Staff yes.

Same for Slayer Helm

Guides / Re: New Price Guide (DRAFT) [OPINIONS!??!?!!?]
« on: January 21, 2012, 08:39:03 pm »
It can be done, but if I were you, just leave it like it is until the server really takes off, cause prices WILL be fluctuating at an alarming rate as everyone figures out what drops what, what the drop rate is, and how easily something can be gotten. That way not to confuse too many people when Ags on here is 150m one day and 300m the next and then 220m after that.

« on: January 21, 2012, 08:26:59 pm »
I for one dont think this is a very good idea. Not accusing you, nor doubting that you are legit, but things happen. Say a player somehow loses an item after you go on (Not while your on, but after you do the service) then they can accuse you of taking money, or that item, regardless if you are a mod or not. And since theres no proof supporting either sides, it kinda falls into a troll war. Plus I do believe its against rules XD.
