hmm...strange you should bring this up as i have recently done a essay about the gun controls in America and in the UK however i won't write that out all again but what i did  find out is that it seem that America does have issues with the media as the news often has violence featured in it which therefore makes people have a fear and no longer trust their neighbourhood.

One thing i did find out is that America has 11,250 (approx.) deaths due to guns per year and Canada has more guns per household than America yet far less deaths due to guns and something like 64, with the UK at around 68 (don't quote me on the figures, they were something around that)

The laws with gun control in the UK and America are both very difference as in America you can buy guns at the local stores and in one thing i watched people were getting guns for just signing up with a certain bank company. In the UK you need to be like 17 and have to pay for a licence and furthermore have to pay an annual fee of ?45 and have a lot of background checks to make sure your not psycho x]

My view on gun controls is that its okay in having one as long as you use it in responsible way, however with less gun controls like America it seems that fatal school shooting seem to happen and in my view could of been stopped if the gun laws were tighter in America but that is just my opinion

I hope i haven't made any points in my post offensive as i haven't tried to
